Adrian celbrates 100 life-changing Immersion Therapy sessions

Adrian’s passion for helping others began over seven years ago as a Disability Support Worker. Driven by a desire to promote inclusivity through exercise, he embarked on a new chapter in Immersion Therapy at WaterMarc after completing his training in Adelaide early last year.

“Completing the training in Adelaide gave me the opportunity to find more independence. Immersion Therapy offers not just treatment, but also a sense of freedom for the people I work with, in a unique environment under the water.

“Every session is tailored to the unique needs of the participant and my favourite thing about my career is being able to help people and assist them on their journey in improving their health and wellbeing,” Adrian said.

Adrian works with participants like cancer patient Tim Buckley, who shared, “Immersion Therapy at WaterMarc has been nothing short of life-changing for me. Adrian’s support has been invaluable. He’s not just a teacher, he’s a mentor who believes in my potential and encourages me every step of the way”.

Adrian explained how in the next five years he sees himself continuing to improve his skills. “I see myself honing my craft and gradually expanding the reach of Immersion Therapy so that exercise therapy can be inclusive for everyone. I’m really looking forward to the journey ahead and my future professional development with Belgravia Leisure and the WaterMarc team. 

“I’m proud to have reached 100 sessions. Each session allows participants to experience a sense of freedom and joy underwater, often unlike anything they’ve felt on land. I’m honoured to be a part of that,” Adrian said.
